James L. Christensen
President
James L. Christensen has served as President of Marquette Equipment Finance since 2006 and earlier as President of Applied Financial. Since November 2000, he has also served as General Counsel. Previously, Mr. Christensen was Co-Founder and Managing Partner in the law firm of Corbridge, Baird & Christensen. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the J. Reuben Clark Law School.
Christian F. Emery
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Christian F. Emery currently serves as Vice President and CFO of Marquette Equipment Finance. Previously, Mr. Emery served as Controller of Matrix Funding Corporation and as Chief Financial Officer of Applied Financial. Mr. Emery has worked in the leasing industry for the past twenty years, garnering experience in accounting, tax and operating systems. Mr. Emery graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
Shanni E. Staker
Executive Vice President and Secretary
Shanni E. Staker currently serves as Executive Vice President and Secretary of Marquette Equipment Finance. Ms. Staker is responsible for all transaction documentation. Ms. Staker served as Senior Vice President and Documentation Manager of Matrix Funding Corporation and Applied Financial from 1983 to 2006. From 1972 to 1982, she served as Vice President and Manager of FMA Leasing Company, a commercial leasing and lending company
R. Tim Firth
Executive Vice President of Sales
Tim Firth serves as Executive Vice President of the sales department of Marquette Equipment Finance. From 2000 to 2006, he was a Marketing Manager and Vice President of Applied Financial. Prior to Applied Financial, he was an Account Executive and Sales Manager for Matrix Funding Corporation. From 1985 to 1997, Mr. Firth was President and Owner of Mobile Electrical Supply Company. Mr. Firth graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah.
Emery K. Bahm
Vice President of Credit
Emery K. Bahm has served as Vice President of the credit department at Marquette Equipment Finance since 2007. Mr. Bahm has an extensive background in credit, having previously served as Vice President at Zions Bank Commercial Lending and Washington Mutual Commercial Bank. Mr. Bahm has also served as Assistant Vice President of Credit at U.S. Bank and West One Bank. His credit career began in 1980 as an account representative at E.F. Hutton Financial Services after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University.
Annette Watts
Vice President of Human Resources
Annette Watts currently serves as Vice President of Human Resources at Marquette Equipment Finance. Annette began her career in Human Resources ten years ago at G&K Services where she served for five years. Ms. Watts is certified as a Professional in Human Resources and in Predictive Index Analytics. She has led the MEF human resource department since 2006.
Dorran Sampson
Vice President of Broker Relations
Dorran W. Sampson serves as Director of Broker Relations at Marquette Equipment Finance. Mr. Sampson has a vast history in and understanding of the leasing industry beginning his career at Applied Financial as a National Sales Manager. From Applied Financial, Dorran was employed by numerous leasing companies working in sales, intermediary relations, and credit & syndication ultimately leading him back to Marquette Equipment Finance as the Vice President of Syndication and to his current role as Vice President of Broker Relations. Mr. Sampson received his bachelors degree from Utah State University.
Michelle S. Larsen
Corporate Counsel
Michelle S. Larsen serves as Corporate Counsel for Marquette Equipment Finance. Previously, Ms. Larsen served as Corporate Counsel for Aurora Homes, LLC and Assistant General Counsel for Basic Research, LLC. Prior to working in-house, she worked at several law firms including Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough and Beckley Singleton (now Lewis and Roca, LLP). She is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the J. Reuben Clark Law School.
Kirstin Patterson
Vice President of Syndication
Kirstin Patterson currently serves as Vice President of Syndication. Previously, she has held roles of SVP, COO and President at various leasing companies. With nearly twenty years of experience in the commercial leasing industry, Ms. Patterson has developed significant expertise in syndication/credit and has cultivated lasting relationships with many funding sources.
